How Long Do Clear Aligners Take?

After an initial consultation with Dr. Vail to determine if clear aligners are appropriate for your needs, we will take a set of photos and digital scans of your teeth to send to the experts to  create a set of custom aligners designed specifically for your teeth. Our team will provide you with your first set of aligners and instruct you on how to use them to get your best results.

Initially, you’ll need to return to the dental office every week or two for us to assess your progress and give you new sets of aligners as your teeth move. But once you get used to them and we see that your treatment is progressing properly, we can usually extend visits to about once every four to six weeks.

Are Clear Aligners Right for You?

Here are some problems that are commonly corrected with clear aligners:

This occurs when there is too little space for the teeth to align normally in the mouth. Overcrowding can cause tooth decay and increase the likelihood of gum disease.

Large Gaps Between Teeth

This can sometimes occur either when teeth are missing or if they are “too small” in proportion to the jawbone.
